I won't deny that this is petty but why don't my contributions to the discussion get props when they are by far the best? Knowledge - actual familiarity with Biblical tradition - trumps all these "deductive" linguistic convoluted arguments IMO. They are never decisive. Always puzzling

and remember, Jews have always said their religion had a secret tradition. So the claim that the Pentateuch was written according to inconsistency or stupidity goes against the established POV.

Peter, Why is it so strange when, in the first act (a) man is said to be made after the "image of God" and (b) a god of some sort is walking in the garden as a man? Chekhov's gun ... The fact that this sub-narrative is veiled (or never explained ie how/why there is an anthropomorphic god) ...
