Re: What if Paul never perceived Jesus as a god ...

Young's Literal Translation renders Galatians 2:16 as "faith of Christ" (twice). This may have been the preferred translation until Martin Luther stepped in and muddied the water. This might rock the evangelical and/or fundamentalist boat.

Re: If «Pillar» has a revelatory origin, then also «brother of Lord»

Per John Allegro, if the root of the word translated as Piller by the Greek's is Hebrew, then piller is the correct translation. But if the root is Aramaic, then the proper translation would be dip, or dipper, as in daily bather or perhaps baptist. In the end, the pillers whom Paul encountered may o...

Re: What if Paul never perceived Jesus as a god ...

In addition, what if Paul's message of salvation was not that people are saved by grace though their faith in the messiah, but rather through the faith of the messiah? What if Paul never perceived Jesus as a god ...

... and to Paul the word kyrios simply meant king? After all, Jesus was condemned to death not for being perceived to be a lord in the sense of being a god, but rather for being specifically the king of the Jews. How much would things change if everywhere in which Paul refers to Jesus or Christ as L...

Re: What if only the Romans killed Jesus (in the Earliest Gospel)?

Jesus said to them, “Truly, I say to you, in the new world, when the Son of Man will sit on his glorious throne, you who have followed me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. Matthew 19:28 What is odd here is that Judas was among this group of 12. Did (as Bart Ehrma...
