Re: KJV Tampering
You are confused. I happily defended Sinaiticus authenticity, giving various reasons, until the evidence forced a new evaluation. This presupposition argument is typical nonsense, and should never be trusted. Everyone works with presuppositions.......it's just you want us all to ASSUME the KJV is &...

Re: evaluating testimony
Simplistic thinking. As opposed to a complicated conspiracy theory like a guy who thinks six moon landings were faked... (See e.g. the confirmation that came forth in 1900 mentioned by Farrer). 1) No confirmation of anything came forth 2) do you REALLY think there were zero developments regarding A...

Re: KJV Tampering
It is not plausible that any forger in the 19th century could create that codex. Hi Stephen! Why not? :) Note, it may have been designed as a replica rather than a forgery, but that does nor change the “why not” question. It is true that there would to be some textual savvy involved. What Steven Av...

Re: 1859 - "by permission of the librarian"
What do you mean by Kallinikos - “by permission of the librarian” ? What is that quote from? This relates to the big heist of 1859: The Journal of Sacred Literature (1863-04) https://books.google.com/books?id=vvgDAAAAQAAJ&pg=PA212 Kallinikos Hieromononachos, Oct 15, 1862, Alexandria Simonides.....

Re: KJV Tampering as a precursor to Sinaiaticus Fraud
For the record, this guy didn't examine ANY of this for a very good reason - he can't read it at all. He also doesn't seem to notice the differences, we're just supposed to ignore those.Steven Avery wrote: ↑Fri Feb 09, 2024 10:01 am That note from Nazaroo does not apply to the Sinaiticus homoeoteleutons under examination.

Re: the black hole of Sinaiticus scholarship due to the faux consensus date
The main problem was that it quickly had an established date of 4th century, without examining the manuscript. The guy saying this HIMSELF has never.....you know...examined the manuscript (and couldn't since he didn't even graduate college). This led to scholars unable to consider what would be mor...

Re: KJV Tampering as a precursor to Sinaiaticus Fraud
For those who haven't read or don't know, Steven Avery (real name Steven Avery Spencer) has wasted the last decade of his 74 years on planet earth raging about Sinaiticus because he's little more than a KJVO hack, which is the motivation. - He doesn't know Greek. - He doesn't know jack squat about p...

Re: Sinaiticus authenticity discussion Wed 11/30/2022 - James Snapp Jr. and Steven Avery
So, it seems highly dubious that Sinaiticus is any forgery of any kind, as only a really very arrogant religiot (please do notice how I turn that rule into an exception) would think that he can get away with blatantly obvious anachronisms like this Interesting example. An unusual, sophisticated ult...

Re: Sinaiticus - features that point to a late production
True, thanks. However, at this point everyone who is astute knows of the Bill Brown sickness, vulgarity and more. You've lived your entire life as a coward and will clearly die one, too. It's not my fault you LIED, Steven. And then you again gaslight me by accusing me of YOUR sickness. You're an ig...

Re: Sinaiticus - features that point to a late production
Time for a morality/ethics check. Just what would happen if the vial name calling from Maestroh was returned with a tit for tat? Pointing out a guy is lying and demonstrating it ain't name-calling. Also - he wouldn't dare. He's been challenged for years to back up his bold talk - and like every oth...
