Re: Did Paul know Jesus?
John2, Yeah, I think you are problably right regarding both verses. Do you think there’s any connection between Paul quoting Jesus about divorce in 1 Cor 7 and it was some Pharisees, maybe including Paul, who asked Jesus this question in Matthew 19 or could this be another instance of a saying that ...

Re: Did Paul know Jesus?
In 1 Corinthians 2:2 Paul says he knew nothing except Jesus and him crucified. I might be taking this verse completely out of context but perhaps Paul is alluding to the fact that he witnessed the trial and crucifixion but never met or heard of Jesus prior to his final week in Jerusalem. Thanks,
Thanks,

Re: Why I don't see myself as a Christ Mythicist
Hi Neil, As mentioned before on this forum, do you think Matthew 28:13-15 (if written in 1st CE) could be a anctual response against the Jews of 1st CE who believed Jesus body was taken by his disciples after being crucified and thus evidence of historicity? 13 telling them, “You are to say, ‘His di...

Hakeem,
Do you believe Polycarp’s letter circa 120-140 where he mentions Paul’s letters is authentic?

Re: Women at the cross: Why the inconsistencies?
It's interesting that the Gospel of Peter does not mention women at the cross if it was written after the other gospels.

Re: Why Is the Gospel So Bad at Proving Jesus is Son of God?
In Mark 14:61, when the high priest says 'Son of the Blessed One' is he referring to the son of god or the son of man mentioned in the next verse? Was that term used before this gospel?
