Why would Josephus go out of his way to report such hearsay? The TF is a brief interjection on a man of a note who lived around the time frame Josephus was discussing. I think you're presuming/reading into completely unrelated events far too much. Instead of this rather convoluted chain of events, it's far more easier to posit that Josephus actually wrote "called Christ" to identify James, because his audience would probably be familiar with this Jesus a...

I believe this all supposes that Paul wasn't the actual writer of Galatians, if I'm not mistaken. Am I wrong?
