Re: question about evil

How many children have a genocidal son murdering parent? If they do, is the children proclaiming their parent evil not the right thing to do? Re: Who has more control of our thinking; God or Satan?

I doubt it, as virtually anyone who still identified as a Christian is according to Bible still "in camp," iow has not gone "outside the camp," not even as far as you have gone, which is a fair piece I guess. Re: Who has more control of our thinking; God or Satan?

No offense meant ok, you possess good and even great insight when you are not under that cloud. I mean dang if you even read one time through with two eyes there's like ten short phrases i...

Re: The Secret History of Leviticus

this is likely explained by a more spiritual/less literal definition of "man" and "woman" fwiw. Read them as symbols iow, rather than ppl. "Prophets gone a'whoring" there would similarly be no actual whores to find, and etc The issue with male homosexuality seems to be penetration of a male by a ma...

Re: The Secret History of Leviticus

Before Leviticus was composed, outright prohibitions against homosexual sex — whether between men or women — were practically unheard-of in the ancient world. I don't understand how women got into the issue. Apparently this is an example of equal opportunity when it isn't specifically asked for. Th...

Re: Eastern Dialecticism in the Bible?

Sure, the following reminded me of the OP . In Western logic, the laws governing the opposition of incompatible propositions are unquestioned. They are self-evident because the opposite is unthinkable. Two propositions that are contrary to each other cannot both be true though both can be false. Th...
