Re: Are you a God in waiting, or have you stepped up to your destiny?

Yeah. Chathars' perfect weren't enlightened, distant Buddha figures. They were active leaders of their society. This strengthens the argument. If you admit to being the driving force behind God, and you seem to, as we all are, then should the people making the rules for God and society not be under ...

Re: Are you a God in waiting, or have you stepped up to your destiny?

But according to Tripartite Tractate, none of us are gods. The difference between God and man is - the former only exists for others, while men exist for others and for themselves, as well. Gods don't control destiny. In the end, men control gods. So why would anyone want to achieve Godhood? Gen3;22...

Re: Lack of Divine Foresight

Simple - he wanted them to sin. How were Adam & Eve supposed to know it was good to obey God and not eat from the tree of knowledge of good and evil ... when they had not yet eaten from the tree, and were thus at that point still unable to tell good from evil? It‘s a setup to get them under his ...

Re: Sleeper awake!

There are many versions of Gnosticism like I said. The NH papers have at least three, And you know this because you've read other stuff, but not the NHL. Read the texts codex-to-codex. So these guys had what, three or four mystery religion per holy book, now pick at leisure? Stop tailoring the worl...

Re: Sleeper awake!

The gospel of John is gnostic. Huh? I thought you said gnosis was suppressed by the Church? There are many types of philosophies, you can divide them by being secular or religious, but the NHC brand of gnosis is counter to religion. Religion demands belief. Gnosis demands awareness that a bigger pi...

Re: Sleeper awake!

Start thinking normal, start thinking straight. Most of the stuff we know about Gnosticism today, we know from two sources: - Church Fathers and a few Greek fragments - NHL & assorted Egyptian texts You seem rather keen on trusting the former, so there is no helping there. Maybe there was Gnost...

Re: Outstretched hands and The Cross

It all works if you consider stuff like Bruce Codex being a FORGERY in the name of THEOLOGY and speak like Trump to all that don't. When is the Bruce Codex said to be forged? In another topic, where I brought it up as an example of a description of a cross instead of a stake in a rather ancient man...

Re: the Sethians

However, since Sethians identified Seth with Christ (Second Logos of the Great Seth), Philaster's belief that the Sethians had pre-Christian origins, other than in syncretic absorption of Jewish and Greek pre-Christian sources, has not found acceptance in later scholarship.[7]' But why..? I'd have ...
