Re: Book of Esther
The Darius as Ahasuerus case doesn't seem overly strong to me. I could not find Darius in Esther 1:1 nor the 5 mentioned names in Esther 2:5? I'm not very good with other scripts, though the Greek is easier to read than the Hebrew, I wish people would give transliterations in Roman alphabet. Althoug...

Re: Great city of "Asshur" may be Atlantis city & Tiahuanaco?
There are plenty of evidences that ancients had seafaring boats/ships, and for trans-Atlantic pre-Columbian contacts. I list some in the distance chapter of the Atlantis ebook I gave link to. Books by Pierre Honore, Nigel Davies, Barry Fell, Thor Heyerdahl, Zecharia Sitchin (Lost Realms), Donald Mac...

Re: Great city of "Asshur" may be Atlantis city & Tiahuanaco?
Hello thanks Ethan, Firstly it is nothing to do with egotistic nationalist mindset or liking to the book concerns ourselves on my part. "Why would the Hebrew bible mention any location in the Americas?" Well why not? Surely *if* God is true and/or if the Americas featured in ancient Old Wo...

Re: 430 or 215 years in Egypt?
In relation to whether the period between Jacob coming to Egypt and the exodus from Egypt was 215 or 430 yrs some one in another group raised the issue of 4 generations in the Genesis 15 verses, which I had not even dealt with in trying to resolve the question. So I thought I would also add my comme...

Re: Shishak Sheshonk or Ramses 2?
Just an update with comments on some more suggested matches between Shishak and Shoshenq 1 which were mentioned in a Bible History Daily article. Names match: "Sheshonq is also referred to in a fragment of his victory stele discovered at Megiddo containing his cartouche." Which of the 2 ca...

Re: Great city of "Asshur" may be Atlantis city & Tiahuanaco?
Thanks. I'm not sure that "Asshur" of the Hamite section is the same as Asshur of the Shemite section. It seems strange that no mention of the cities or great city is made under Asshur in the Shemite section. The verses in the Hamite section may not even mention any land or person name Ass...

Great city of "Asshur" may be Atlantis city & Tiahuanaco?
I just read someones blog article where they mention a theory about the 4 cities of Asshur of Genesis 10. They follow the usual placement in Assyria. I commented that the cities or city may not be there but somewhere else but they didn't seem very intrigued. So I thought I should rewrite my own piec...

Shishak Sheshonk or Ramses 2?
Shishak is the Egyptian king in the bible who Jeroboam fled to, and who raided Jerusalem in the reign of Rehoboam son of Solomon. The conventional Egyptian chronology corresponds Shishak with Sheshonk I of the 22nd dynasty, and this the the one most important Egyptian-Biblical correspondences in the...

does popes list match emperors list?
A few years ago I discovered that the early popes list seems to match the list of Roman emperors because with a number of them some of the names are similar and the dates roughly the same and they match in sequential order. Critics have claimed that a number of the early popes are attested in chruch...

Goshen is not Fakus area
Rohl said that there is plenty of etymological evidence for Goshen being in the Fakus area. Is this really so? Let's look at the only few places mentioned in the bible where the Hebrews were when they where in Egypt. On (Genesis, Septuagint Exodus) Goshen (Genesis, Exodus) Land of Rameses (Genesis, ...
