Re: Jesus' appearances to Peter and James

Alright, there's a lot you guys are saying that I want to address. I'll start with the last one. Diogenes wrote: "I think the Shem Tov is a medieval rabbinic forgery, so it's not surprising that its version lacks reference to gentiles there." Don't get me started on the provenance of the ...

Re: The way of faith

... or the person is regularly brought to Church, synagogue, temple, or etc.., by his/her parents. The person has no questions to ask. The answers are already given by the priest. Right, so your questions as a child are basic and not very critical and skeptical. You can ask deep questions, like how...

"Unfortunately we don't have that much info about the Gospel of the Hebrews, not enough to decide when it was written and how much it related to the original story told by the apostles. We know that it existed by the mid or late 2nd century when Origen quoted from it." The canonical gospe...

Re: Jesus' appearances to Peter and James

It's tough now 1800 years later to know why the church fathers rejected gHebrews. We know that fake heretical gospels were made in the second century. Maybe the Church fathers saw gHebrews then, and learned from others like the bishops in Syria and Asia Minor that no one had heard of it outside some...

Unfortunately we don't have that much info about the Gospel of the Hebrews, not enough to decide when it was written and how much it related to the original story told by the apostles. We know that it existed by the mid or late 2nd century when Origen quoted from it. It was being used by Jewish Chri...

The way of faith

Re: How to Discipline Your Wife

I am not aware of any Christian teachings in the medieval Church teaching to beat wives. It seems rather that they are looking for a way to channel their sexual desires in the CDD cult. And then there is this: The Errors in the Gospel of the Hebrews Epiphanius 30.13.6 “But their Gospel begins: ‘It came to pass in the days of Herod, king of Judaea, in the high priesthood of Caiaphas, that a certain man, John by name, came baptizing with the baptism of repentance in the river Jordan,...

The similar unusual issue about the feminine mother force of the Spirit in both the Ebionites' gospel and the Hebrews' gospel: This is about the Ebionites' gospel: 2.4.5 St. Cyril of Jerusalem In his Discourse on Mary Theotokos, St. Cyril of Jerusalem (c. 315-386) mentions an episode in his life inv...
