Re: When a rooster crows in the Codex Regius L (019)
Why do you think an original author would have composed nonsense the first time around? Was s/he just exceptionally negligent? I do not mean it in this way. I do not know what you personally think about the rooster's-crow-story, but to me it sounds like a comedy. I must always smile about the roost...

Re: When a rooster crows in the Codex Regius L (019)
My guess is that the explanation is the opposite of what you have above. Original GMark had one crow prediction as evidenced by the Four. The purpose of the second crow was to announce the dawn. The resultant textual variation was caused mainly by trying to go the other way, if there were two cock ...

When a rooster crows in the Codex Regius L (019)
. When a rooster crows in the Codex Regius L (019) 1) Matthew, Luke and John, all indicated that Peter denied Jesus three times before the rooster crowed. Mark however, recorded Jesus’ prophecy as follows: “Assuredly, I say to you that today, even this night, before the rooster crows twice , you wil...

Re: Another text, another story
My suggestion is simple - Jesus did not curse the fig tree - the fig tree did not wither - all that happens only in the ears and in the eyes of the disciples - because they did not bring forth “fruit” I understand that you are looking for arguments against your suggestion. Not exactly. I am very mu...

Re: Another text, another story
. Maybe I don't understand you. First, I get the impression that you think the “Cursing of the fig tree” is an acted parable and the fig tree “is” the temple. 14 And he said to it, “May no one ever eat fruit from you again.” May the temple lose its power to deceive But then you wrote The fig tree is...

Re: To tell or not to tell.
Years ago I had played with the DSS/CD passage where the initiates were told to turn to the book HHGW. This is usually translated "Book of Study" even though that is a bit forced. So, I applied the "atbash" cypher (reverse the letters of the alphabet) to the letters HHGW and cam...

This revelation of a secret healing could be also relevant a secret healing 25 And there was a woman who had had a discharge of blood for twelve years, 26 and who had suffered much under many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was no better but rather grew worse. 27 She had heard the ...

Re: Another text, another story
The concept of hallucination (to see something that is not really there) was unknown then , I think. Even when the disciples doubt to see Jesus in the lake, they claim to see a ''phantom'': a phantom is not ''nothing'' stricto sensu , but has still an ontological consistency. But your interpretatio...
