Re: What is a "good Christian"?

Little to know value in John? What?! In the beginning was the Logos and the Logos was with God and thee e Logos was God. If that doesn't do it for ya, you should consider it a summons to seek wisdom and understanding from the most High. But, yea Jesus commands are delineated in scriptures for us. An...

Re: A gnostic sermon attempt

He taught of our single eye. Third eye to the more eastern religions that trained Jesus. If he ever actually lived that is. Here are some examples which are a part of a O.P. showing why I call my god I am. It is not that far from what you think. Modern Gnostic Christians name our god "I am&quo...

Re: A gnostic sermon attempt

I wrote a poem once that includes the verse, " I believe in no thing but I'm not a nihilist. I worship no thing but I'm not an atheist."

Re: A gnostic sermon attempt

You say that Sophia's arrogance and presumptiokn to know God led to her fall yet seem to presume you yourself know the invisible God. Also, you criticize "belief" but seem to forget one of the most important gnostic texts is called the Pistis Sophia, or faith of Sophia. I think it is a fai...

Re: Eastern Dialecticism in the Bible?

This is a good post, in my opinion because it kinda explains some of the apparent contradictions in scripture. I believe all of what Jesus speaks is truth, I suspect that the bible is true even if there seems to be contradictions. And its not simply because of blind faith either. I think there are l...

Re: An order of lifelong Nazirites?

One of the first groups I found after I came to accept the Lord Jesus Christ was the Order of Nazorean Essenes, a modern gnostic group still active last I heard. They have a wide range of beliefs, but are especially modern day manichaeans. They believe Jesus Christ, who they call Yeshua ha Messiach ...

Re: Sophia is Justified by her children

Could Matthews translation perhaps come from an orthodox perspective then? Might Luke's be the original saying of jesus and inn Matthew later scribes changed it to a more orthodox interpretation of Sophia?

Re: Sophia is Justified by her children

Yes that's one layer of meaning. But is that an actual possible translation? Or does Jesus actually say "her children" in that saying?

Re: What is a "good Christian"?

There is none good but God alone. But, if you obey Jesus's commands you are one with Him and hence one with the Father.

Lord, we need more workers. Send more, please, in Jesus name

Sophia is Justified by her children

I've never heard a good orthodox explanation of this saying of jesus and to me it sounds like a fairly explicit gnostic message. I would be interested in knowing what the original Greek is and whether the word translated as"justified" could also be translated as "redeemed" and if...
