Re: "I Follow Cephas. I follow Apollos. I follow Christ. "
... look how Paul phrases it "What I mean is this: One of you (In the Church at Corinth) says, “I follow Paul”; another, “I follow Apollos”; another, “I follow Cephas”; still another, “I follow Christ.”... Clearly there are worshipers in the Corinthian church who've either got the gospel messa...

Re: Johns of early Christianity

Re: John Dominic Crossan's datings of texts
Lots of speculation, little reasoning from what I see. Speculation by Crossan? That quotation is someones summary about Crossan's propositions or deductions. Do you know more about what Crossan says in his books? or has said elsewhere? It's interesting though and I agree there was definitely a pass...

Re: Johns of early Christianity
John Dominic Crossan believes part of the Gospel of John was constructed at the beginning of the 2nd century AD/CE, and another part was constructed later, closer to the middle of the 2nd century CE. Following Rudolf Bultmann, he believes there is an earlier 'Signs Source' for John (just as Crossan ...
