Re: What if Paul feared a minimal allusion to a historical Jesus?
It is not even known if there ever was a historical Marcion, let alone that he composed a Gospel. If the four Gospels we have today are derived from a purported Gospel penned by a purported Marcion, and this Marcion began his/her Gospel sometime after collecting (or composing) a handful of letters ...

Exactly. And when I speak of Paul, I mean his community he was in at the time the epistle was written. They plural would have known better, And just kept combatting their perceived heretical traditions of other diaspora based theology.

Re: Those stupid disciples!

I cant stand these types of animals. when people refuse knowledge and reality in favor of mythology, by that I mean refusing facts no matter how well the evidence is. They are below the human race, They are dragging humanity backwards when we should all by moving forward together.

Re: What if Paul feared a minimal allusion to a historical Jesus?
If Paul feared that even only an allusion to a historical Jesus could threat the his authority on the his followers, then: So what could Paul actually know about a man he never met or heard, and loved far from where the man is said to have lived? Paul was going against the Aramaic Jews that followe...

Re: Those stupid disciples!
Think about it, the fact we have very few Aramaic transliterations is evidence the traditions only flourished in Hellenistic Judaism after crucifixion.
Think about it, John was the popular teacher, not Jesus.

Re: Those stupid disciples!
My view may be wrong, but I think it much better fits the data we do have much better, and gives a much easier and more plausible path. it explains why Christianity was able to explode so quickly in the 2nd century The temple and how many gentiles and proselytes it created explains this without any...

Re: Those stupid disciples!
I would suggest that Christianity separated from Judaism BEFORE evangelism, and that it happened outside of Palestine, in what today are places like Egypt, Syria, Turkey, and Greece. And I would suggest it happened AFTER the ethnic make up of the movement had switched from Jewish to gentiles . See,...
