Re: evidence for Christianity before the third Roman Jewish
Didn't the Council of Nicea spend a bit of time and effort finalizing 'doctrine' eg. warding off Arianism?

Re: Christianity in Jewish literature
The theory of the fourth century construction of Christianity is something like the construction of a few decades worth of analysis of the Cuban missile crisis, without any Cubans or nuclear missiles or cold war. (The post-135 origin of Christianity, which I now see is Avi's preference, is not near...

For once, I agree. Unless they were re-using materials - paper, parchment or whatever - ie. re-...

Re: Jewish Expulsions / Exile
... There is no evidence for the existence of any Christian writings or beliefs, prior to the conclusion of the third Roman Jewish conflict, which resulted in the forced expulsion of all Jews from Jerusalem ... The final expulsion? ie. expulsion had been going on for decades, started in previous co...

Re: Ehrman's latest book: Forgery and Counterforgery
Ehrman has already argued in "FORGED" that many books of the NT are either forgeries or false attribution including gMatthew, gMark, gLuke, gJohn, Acts of the Apostles, Ephesians, 2 Thessalonians, Colossians, 1 Timothy, 2 Timothy, Titus, 1 and 2 Peter, James, Jude, and 1st,2nd and 3rd Joh...
