Re: A Marcionite Reading of Zechariah 11:13

The Marcionites didnt use Matthew or Acts so they didnt have the story of Judas and the 30 pieces of silver nonsense. And since they didnt believe the OT predicted NT invents they didnt create this story, the 'orthodox' did. Quit being stupid.

Re: Epiphanius' Marcosian Justification for his Marcion Sect

Maybe as a Trumpite you don't like discussing gematria because its a "Jew thing." Trump loves Jews. He's trying to move the embassy to Jerusalem. His son in law is a Jew, and he put him way up in the government. His daughter converted to Judaism and he treats her as nearly a co-president....

Re: Epiphanius' Marcosian Justification for his Marcion Sect

First SA says Epiphanius is the biggest liar whoever lived. Then he uses Epiphanius to further his nutty theory that every sect with the sound "marc" in it somewhere was his ancestral gematria gnosticism his grandpapy taught him on his knee.

Re: Why was Paul interested to the FORM of the sacrifice of

The original myth had : 1) the short drama of the Crucifixion (invisible in the Air insofar visible in his earthly drama) This idea is so stupid its hilarious even one sucker born yesterday ever bought into it. An invisible crucifixion in the air? Never go full retard. Paul taught what Marcion taug...

Re: Different authorial perspectives in 1 John.

. 5 This is the message we have heard from Him and announce to you, that God is Light, and in Him there is no darkness at all.
I.e. God is not the creator who made both light and darkness, good and evil. Fits well with 2:15-17.

Re: Mythicists met by 'Ignatius'

You are right probably, even if I wonder how could Ignayius be so idiot to the point that he references *twice* his objector to the same text (the Old Testament), though knowing in advance that the objector had already dealt with it. I imagine the same as happens today. A=Christian arguing for virg...

Re: Why no exorcism in Judea but only in Galilee

Note that the Galilean demons fear the MAN Jesus while the Judean blind men fear the GOD Jesus. The blind Jews don't want to see the divine in Jesus While the Galilean demons don't want to see the MAN in Jesus. This betrayes awareness by Mark of both marcionism (rejection of the humanity of Jesus) ...

Re: Why no exorcism in Judea but only in Galilee

Rylands talked about the possessed man of Gadara as the official "entry" in gentile Galilee. He'd have to, because only by conveniently ignoring that Jesus' first miracle (period) in Mark is casting out a demon in a synagogue in Capernaum (in Galilee) in Mark 1:21-28, can he make his theo...

Re: Why no exorcism in Judea but only in Galilee

Giuseppe wrote: Therefore the first guy met by Jesus in Galilee was a possessed by evil spirit (a GENTILE),
Frankly, a really STUPID conclusion to jump to since it took place in a synagogue. Apparently Rylands does not actually read.

Re: Why no exorcism in Judea but only in Galilee

Because the Jews were not possessed by demons (the pagan gods) but were simply blind people. Therefore the first guy met by Jesus in Galilee was a possessed by evil spirit (a GENTILE), while the first guy met by Jesus in Judea was the blind man Bartimaeus son of Timaeus: a JEW. Rylands's view here....
