The article is excellent. We have to think that people back then were like people today. Today, we have many who exaggerate Christians persecution and it would not be a stretch that many believers back then would also exaggerate persecution.

The book of Revelation has as its foundations the Hebrew Scriptures. The difference is that Revelation quotes the Hebrew Scriptures using Hebrew Poetry or what I call Parallel Formation.
