Re: John 3:13
Perhaps because the "Spirit"/"Son of Man" (who entered as a Dove) departed from Jesus while he was upon the cross. And perhaps also (as I have speculated) the narratives of the Gospels have been inverted, moving the resurrection (of the bodily Jesus who remained behind, having be...

John 3:13
I read somewhere that roughly 95% of Greek manuscripts read this verse along the lines of: John 3:13: No one has ascended into heaven except he who descended from heaven, the Son of Man who is in heaven . If this is so, then why do many modern translations omit the section which I've highlighted? Mi...

Re: What if *Ev was both pro and against John the Baptist?
The harmonization of those of John with those of Jesus seems to ring forth with an air of "The enemy of my enemy is my friend". Thus both for and against.

Re: under what (limited) conditions an original Testimonium Flavianum would confirm Jesus's historicity
I'm in the camp which tends to think that the resurrected whomever (Jesus?) that survived the cross after Josephus intervened was the root source from which later miraculous resurrection stories arose. But one nagging drawback is that this requires a roughly 40 year time shift.

Re: The son(s) of the bridal chamber
Does it seem logical to be OK with the idea of males being united with the Christ within confines of the bridal chamber, while the same are typically not OK with the inferences found within 'Secret Mark'.

Re: historian of early Christianity
An interesting one https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Dominic_Crossan John Dominic Crossan (born 17 February 1934) is an Irish-American New Testament scholar, historian of early Christianity , former Catholic priest who was a prominent member of the Jesus Seminar, and emeritus professor at DePaul...

Are there hints of a Gnostic Jesus within the Canonical NT?
To get this rolling, I find "Let the dead bury their dead" to be rather Gnostic.

Re: Paul's Letters, Taken at Face Value, Reveal that He was not a Typical Early Christian!
The typical Christian would have been nominally unlearned and illiterate. Without manipulative guidance (with an attached agenda), nothing within the NT was conceptually at their level. This NT stuff was a game played by elitist philosophical schools and their members.
