What sin has God condemned you for?

What sin has God condemned you for? Why is God the only one who can forgive you? It seems that just being born is enough to draw condemnation from God. Somehow, we are all born sinners. Whatever that sin is that we are born with, it must have been really bad to earn eternal punishment or death. Scri...

Adam and Eve could not love God or each other before eating

Adam and Eve could not love God or each other before eating of the Tree of Knowledge. The Tree of Knowledge of Good & Evil is the tree of love. Would you abstain from eating of it and lose the ability to Love? Adam and Eve, mythical representatives of you and I, could not love without eating of ...

I remember what Jesus asked in the bible. Have ye forgotten that ye are Gods? My answer is no. What is yours? Regards DL Forsooth knave - My guess is that you are referring to the John 10:34-36 comment on Psalms 82:6. Solely on your use of the term "ye" I looked this up. Psalm 82 - http:/...

Re: What makes you think God wants less for his children tha

I don't believe that gods exist. I think in theological terms that makes me an atheist. So questions about what God does or doesn't do are irrelevant, because first it must be established that he exists. It is said that intelligent people can discuss what they do not believe in. Some cannot I guess...

What makes you think God wants less for his children than yo

What makes you think God wants less for his children than you for yours? Most Christians think that God created man to be subservient to him. We are to love honor and most of all obey and serve his wants and needs forever as his heavenly children. In other words, God is always at the top and man is ...

Re: Is an eye for an eye a good standard of justice?

Without the victim, no measure of law can move forward so for you to say that the victim is not key is foolish. Regardless, it seems that you like an eye for an eye and would only tweak it. P. S. Every citizen is charged with enforcing the law and if he does not and lets it happen when he could pre...

Re: Is an eye for an eye a good standard of justice?

You indicate that the reciprocity of an eye for an eye can be improved. I assume you mean to benefits the perpetrator. How would you show this mercy while remembering that the victim seeks reciprocity? He want's a full measure for closure most of the time I would think. Regards DL An eye for an eye...
