The more clear example of this pre-Markan material is Jesus Bar-Abbas, the caustic parody of the proto-John's Jesus who claimed to be "one with the Father" (10:30).

"Only god is good" as Mark's compromise to eclipse "Only the Father, not YHWH, is good"
“Why do you call me good?” Jesus answered. “No one is good—except God alone. (Mark 10:18) Curiously, Mark says: ὁ Θεός He doesn't say "Kyrios", not "the Father", finding as compromise between YHWH and the Father the choice of the more neutral "God". Isn't this the enti...

Re: Mention of a written gospel in 1 Corinthians 1-7
The point of Bolland is that the real 2° century "Paul" was based on a written gospel (the earliest one, evidently) where there was written the list of apparitions made by the risen Jesus. This would explain the number 12 and not 11. This would explain why in Mark the original epilogue has...

Mark 1:16-18 originally the lost final of proto-Mark
6 As Jesus walked beside the Sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and his brother Andrew casting a net into the lake, for they were fishermen. 17 “Come, follow me,” Jesus said, “and I will send you out to fish for people .” 18 At once they left their nets and followed him. (Mark 1:16-18) This logion (see t...

Mention of a written gospel in 1 Corinthians 1-7
Now, brothers and sisters, I want to remind you of the gospel I preached to you , which you received and on which you have taken your stand. By this gospel you are saved, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain. For what I received I passed on to you a...

Indirect evidence that the Fourth Gospel had to answer against the accusation that Jesus never lived
The Fourth Gospel has Jesus going more times in Jerusalem and not only at the end of his life. Why? Because the not-Christian Jews had raised in whiletime the following accusation, hearing the Christian news about Jesus: your Jesus has been never seen in Jerusalem. He was a perfect unknown in Jerusa...

Re: Mentions of written gospels in Romans 16:25-27
Meaning, the Jewish scriptures. if you concede that Paul is entirely fabricated, then the more probable implication is that "now" the revelation happens according to "writings of the prophets", meaning the gospel as midrash based on the "writings of the prophets".

Re: Mentions of written gospels in Romans 16:25-27
Bolland claims distinctly that the false "Paul" knew the gospel: One learns once and for all to understand that Justine's 'Memoirs of Petros' (Slide 106), which according to the presbyter of Papias (Eus. H. E. 3: 29) were written down by the 'interpreter of Peter' Mark and according to the...

Mentions of written gospels in Romans 16:25-27
Romans 16:25-27 can be interpreted to mean that the Gospels have been already written by the time the epistle was written: Now to him who is able to establish you in accordance with my gospel , the message I proclaim about Jesus Christ, in keeping with the revelation of the mystery hidden for long a...

Re: Stephan Hoebeeck on the philosophical origins of Christianity
The same title of Christ for Jesus comes from the titles of the Logos. The Logos is a celestial high priest. Any high priest is an anointed (=Christ) of his own right (en passant, in Zechariah, a Joshua is high priest also, and as such an anointed). Therefore the Logos is anointed (=Christ) too. He...
