Re: The Paraclite is Marcion
If the birth of the Son is in heaven, then the mother can't be the earthly mother named Mary of later Gospels, sorry. Is this a case where you read Revelation with the Gospel-coloured glasses? I fear that is the case. Perhaps the imagery comes from somewhere outside of the Gospels? Such as a confla...

Re: Bob Price makes the same my point about Mark 8:27-30!!!
Dr Price has lots of insights into the construction of the Gospels. He would be happy to see that you found the same stuff he did and you took it in a different direction. true, but strangely he didn't answer to a my mail (and I don't like facebook). My problem with Bob Price is that he seems to be...

Re: Was the birth story in Luke/Matthew originally referred to John the Baptist
Just curious, what evidence do you have that I am: A Christian Apologist? A liar for Christ? The evidence is that you deny, differently from Nasruddin, that Mark has a problem with John the Baptist and he attempts to give a naive solution for that problem. The problem was that someway John was a th...

Re: Was the birth story in Luke/Matthew originally referred to John the Baptist
There is not a single post, in which I stated this was a problem. Obviously the fact itself that Nasruddin (probably a Christian believer) recognized that this was a problem is a sufficient reason to consider/condemn you , Klewis, as a Christian apologist (basically this means: you are a liar for C...

Re: Codex Escalada
I remember reading on Bart Ehrman's blog about the Gospel of Jesus' wife a few days later. It was amazing how quickly the were able to date when it was forged, based upon the exact copy of a critical text.

Re: Was the birth story in Luke/Matthew originally referred to John the Baptist
Even Richard Carrier thinks Giuseppe is an unhinged, illogical lunatic. https://www.richardcarrier.info/archives/3910 To be fair, the dialog took place in 2013, so we should account for some growth. However, in 2020, it appears that only the venue has changed. For example, in this thread, one must ...

Re: An ancient Cathar text reveals that John the Baptist pointed Jesus as the Lamb of God to move the Jews to kill him
You are perfectly correct in your view of myself. My only apology may be, in this case, that the heretical texts have to be considered "old" only on virtue of them being condemned as "heretical" by the winners. If Klewis is honest, then he should accuse officially Richard Carrie...

Re: An ancient Cathar text reveals that John the Baptist pointed Jesus as the Lamb of God to move the Jews to kill him
The problem with the post is that this is a Medieval text stating something that happen 1,200 years earlier. Is it connected with history or was the history produced to cater to a reality of the time it was produced. Since Giuseppe believes that any text that states that Jesus existed as a historica...

I see, you truly worship Richard Carrier. Anyone thing stated outside of what he believes must be wrong and therefore stupid. Wow, talk about free thinking thrown outside the window.
