Tracking Science

Post by Clive »

Came across a very interesting discussion that science is probably millions of years old! Maybe priests are better understood as scientists?

We are discussing NS elsewhere.

Maybe NS should be understood as part of a whole series of changes and improvements in tools we have used over time to attempt to understand.

Obvious changes are use of capital and small letters, punctuation, creation of separate words, introduction of zero and algebra to represent unknowns - algebra may be a way of formalising the unknowns - where has that animal come from and where might it be going - that was part of our daily experience for a million years and more. Algebra is interesting - it is both word (letter actually) and number.

I propose NS have similar coding and counting functions.

Is it an assumption we make to divide the world into numbers and words? What are the possible understandings if you do not have zero, punctuation, etc?

Would not groups - like priests - who have more familiarity with this stuff - almost predictably gain power?

NS are the algebra of the gods?
