Is it moral for our governments to impose poverty on us?

What do they believe? What do you think? Talk about religion as it exists today.

I don’t know, I have a pretty high IQ and I’m surely in denial about stuff, you are apparently in denial about some things, etc.

Thanks for accusation without showing what you mean. You win that argument hands down.

Thanks for the chat.

Wow GB, you don’t think you’re in denial about anything? Doesn’t that imply that...Well, let me ask arent the implications of that rather unsettling for you?

I mean don’t get me wrong, I’m not real comfortable saying I’m in denial about stuff, anything, yet I’m aware from the many clues I get from my friends that they are merely tolerating my behavior at times that I am obviously ignorant of my denials?

I could suggest some tests If you like, but these are not very comfortable experiences to subject oneself to, so I’m not sure they would be what you are looking for.

Anyway, for what it’s worth, I value people with let’s say fringe opinions, and I think you’re fine just like you are, which is why I give you so much grief, just so you know. “Christians“ I pretty much just nod my head and agree these days. But you are in serious denial about some things bro, just like the rest of us

Humongous superiority complex for one, which I can relate to as knowledge tends to bring pride. Very difficult to overcome I guess.

Taxation determines what poverty levels will exist within it’s demographic form. It controls the graph shown below. Governments control taxation and thus control poverty levels directly.
Imagine if you will, the real truth of that taxation, if used correctly, to move the wealth shown in this graph wherever it wants to, with minimal effect on the whole. The fact is, experts say that such a reality would be a win win for everyone.

Not how little of a change would be needed to reach the ideal.
Wise and moral people throughout history, as well as most religious movements, put poverty as the number one enemy to man’s first priority, which is security.
For perhaps the first time in history, we have the wealth where we could end poverty quite easily, --- just with our collective loose change.
It would seem to me that governments are not acting ethically and should be chastised.
I guess that George Carlin, a wise person, was correct in what he said of what Americans cannot feel in their anal orifices. I apply the same condition to the vast majority of the world.

If true that we are being willfully ignorant, and do not even care about each other to insure we live in a moral environment, then our owners have succeeded in cowering man’s moral nature to a state of subservience. We have given up our freedom. If we ever had any.
We have all accepted to be slaves. Shame on us all.
We do not live in a Democracy. We live in a Hypocrisy.
We can easily rid ourselves of poverty.
Should we?
Morality says yes.
Will we do the right thing?
Not till hell freezes over.

Anyway, to your point here,
