I've been thinking about the math involved. The mean between 568 and 645 or (645 minus 568 divided by 2 = 77/2 = 38.5 years. So the mean is 38.5 years above 568 and 38.5 years below 645 or the year 606.5. A 95% confidence level indicates 2 standard deviations. A 65% confidence level would be 1 standard deviation or 19.25 years. So 606.5 plus or minus 19.25 gives us our 65% confidence level. This means we can say with 65% that the manuscript parchment was created between 606.5 - 19.25 or 587.25 and 606.5 + 19.25 or 625.75. Rounding off 587.25 and 625.75, we can say with 65% confidence that the parchment comes from between 587 and 626. It seems strange to think that someone would be copying Muhammad's book before he was finished writing it, allegedly in 630. I mean we would expect that a prophet would not serialize their work as Charles Dickens did with Oliver Twist, and publish a little of it at a time. There is no indicate that it was published before being complete as far as I know.
At the very least, according to this manuscript's carbon dating, there is a 65% chance that the traditional date given for the text is off by at least 4 years (630-626) and as much as 43 years (630-587).

Your overthink all this.

Fact is no koran existed in muhammads time

We are talking about a collection of text that did not originate with him. his sources plagiarized most of the text the had compiled.

So we already know much of these text and traditions existed prior to his life.

So what we do now is look at all the different sources who taught muhammad enough to make these text valuable enough for him to collect and promote them.

Evidence is scarce here so this is my guess.

Waraka a heretical priest writing plagiarized text in Arabic, was not only his cousin, but lived in walking distance of muhammad, and took him in at 5 years of age. How long he stayed we don't know. But we know one of his wives was also a cousin to Waraka. Waraka was also the man who claimed muhammad divine imagine that!

The scholarship is vague here. I think most are afraid to state the truth in fear for their lives. Nobody comes out and claims the koran was plagiarized even though it is a fact.

Most work done says we don't know, I call BS
