"Both Islam and the Qur'an give power to the individual by giving them specific instruction on how to act and what to do and what not to do and how to defend their self, as in it gives specific times to pray and specific words to recite and where, when, why, how, and it tells the individual what not to eat and how to dress and it gives clear commandments to follow and to guide the individual."

These things are very effective as they give the person self-control over their life, and stuff that works is quality stuff.

What things are those?
See the text in blue - given above:

It is insufficient for an assessment of the quality of the instructions.

I appreciate you saying this, as I was beginning to think that you might just trying to be difficult.

It is very easy to become defensive in an online forum where the words have no human involvement seen.

The quality of the instruction can be seen by people who already take action, and seen when first started to take the actions, and it is very hard to see simply by mental judgements or by imagination or any mental reasoning without actually doing the action.

When one stops eating pork and blood then they learn the power of it.
When one starts dressing modestly then they learn the power of it.
When one prays according to specifics then they learn the power of it.
When one obeys the ten commandments then they learn the power of it.
Etc, etc, etc ...

In a religion like Christianity particularly it is all mental with little to no activities.
As like:
Believe in Jesus and be saved ~ thought and words but without action.
To forgive and be forgiven ~ thought and words but without action.
Love thy enemy and turn other cheek ~ thought and words but without action.
Go to Heaven and avoid going to Hell ~ thought and words but without action.
Etc, etc, etc ...

There are a bunch of negatives for Christians, as like no abortion and no homosex and minimal divorce ~ but these too and mostly just thought and words without any real action.

In Islam and the Qur'an it is very physical and calling for action, so that being a Muslim can be a lot of work.

No thank you

Yes, Christianity places very few physical impositions on mankind. Men and women are free to choose their civil and penal laws and to elect governments that consider the wellbeing of its citizens as paramount.

Other religion are the opposite being based on a multitude of religious regulation enforced by a religious authority. Life under this obnoxious people is tolerated in the name of a divinity.

Theravada Buddhism is one of the most controlling of this ugly breed . Judaism and Islam are very similar to Buddhism in their insane quest for physical control..

I say that most people do not understand Jesus, and even when some do understand then they still do not follow the way of Christ.

The freedom that you are declaring is just licentiousness (license to sin), and it is why the USA is going down the drain of immorality.

Otherwise known as infidelity, see here = The Infidels: Biblical Criticism & History Forum

The religion of Islam is not for the weak or timid.

Just a quick follow up:

Real Christianity is not for the weak and timid either, which is why we do not find many true Christians in any realistic search.

You do not get to judge what a true Christian is, or "real" your typical of any fundamentalist claiming your personal sect is correct and others wrong.

Religion is on an individual basis, it is not defined by a person or group or ancient book .

In my view we are all required to judge and the challenge is only to judge as correctly as possible. See John 7:24, and the Holy Qur'an Surah 5:47

The Bible also declares that if we do not judge then we too will not get judged and I want to be judged - only the guilty resist rightful judging.

In fact as a note on psychology = the human brain is a judging machine, so the human brain makes judgements constantly, and in fact it is completely impossible for any person to stop their self from judging. The brain does not have an off switch for that.

So whenever anyone says not to judge - it is just trying to be controlling and abusive.

That might be your view, but you are not really to push that view on others.

Religion is on an individual basis - oh yes, but it is also defined by other people and by groups and most definitely by the ancient books.

You shut the door on your self, and it would be far more rewarding if you were to open that door.

Non sequitur

Credibility is the context.

Neither of those books are credible for judging anyone or anything. Its why none of it is used in law other then laying a hand on so many can continue lying.
