Are there deniers of the historicity of the Teacher of Righteousness?

Post by Giuseppe »

I don't mean merely the denial of the paternity of some writings by a historical Teacher of Righteousness.

I mean the more strong claim that the Teacher himself didn't exist.

Thank you in advance for any answer.

Yes, there have been deniers.
But my article,
"Qumran-Related History: Contemporaries Jannaeus, Absalom, and Judah the Essene," chapter 10, pages 310-325, in
Pushing Sacred Boundaries in Early Judaism and the Ancient Mediterranean: Essays in Honor of Jodi Magness. Editors: Dennis Mizzi, Matthew Grey, Tine Rasalle. Brill, 2023.
E-book (pdf) ISBN: 978-90-04-54082-8; Hardback ISBN: 978-90-04-53772-9
if I may say so
shows them wrong.
