The historical value of Acts is no longer held aloft, yet it is still used as one of the primary means of dating the Pauline epistles,
Even some of the worst critics of Acts, the Westar Acts Seminar, had to admit:
From a Westar Acts Seminar release in 2013:
"This is not to say that Acts is totally unhistorical, but to observe that it is less helpful in the historical reconstruction of Christian beginnings than previously assumed."

I agree with this statement.
