Its not about drinking his koolaid as it was a community effort, not a single person.

I find the Psalms and the writings of Paul more repugnant than any mysterious fib of Paul.

Paul said in 1 Cor 15 .6 " Then he appeared to more than five hundred brothers and sisters* at one time, most of whom are still alive, though some have died.* and that was a 'bola'. His audience knew that was a pious lie.

I would not blame Paul for that passage, because 1 Cor 15:3-11 was most likely interpolated:
