Hi,
I'm pretty sure there has been a full essay since Peter Kirby's full published essay, arguing that JtB might be more a legendary character, but I can't find it. Can anyone help?

Re: John the Baptist essay
Perhaps you are recalling the Ph.D. thesis by NPL Allen:

Which was previously discussed here:

It would be misleading to describe it as a "full essay since Peter Kirby's full published essay" (if this is the one you had in mind).
They were both published in 2015 in ignorance of the other, since Allen interacts with earlier posts from my blog in this thesis but doesn't interact with the post on May 21 of 2015 that would have been most relevant to his thesis. The thesis is also dated May 2015.
