docetism in Luke 9:58

Post by Giuseppe »

Jesus replied, “Foxes have dens and birds have nests, but the Son of Man has no place to lay his head.”
This because Jesus didn't have a body, in Marcion. And consequently, no origin on this earth, not even Nazaret.

Sayings like this one seem far more likely to relate to Cynicism than to anything docetic.

This may be at the origin of the marcionite Jesus who didn't need to eat or sleep.

It is curious that in our Gospels the man Jesus knows ''where to lay his head'', since he goes often to pray alone on a ''mountain'' (allegory of the temple).

Jesus stepped into a boat, crossed over and came to his own town.
(Mt 9:1)

The ''his town'' is Capernaum. So Jesus had where to pose his head, afterall, for the interpolators of Mcn.
