On the free license of Jesus in the temple and the sinner woman of Bethany

Post by Giuseppe »

According to a lot of human sacrifices of the ancestral past, the human victim could have a period of absolute license (of a mock king) before the his sacrificial death: in particular, sexual licence with the women of the harem of the (true) king.

If the woman in Bethany is already a sinner woman for the only fact that she is a unknown woman entering in an house of only males, why does Mark specify that she is a sinner too?

Could she be considered a temporary slave of the mock king Jesus? Just as the apparent unmolested show of authority by Jesus near by the temple?

The esplicit state of sin of the woman in the house of Simon the Leper would be a parallel with the temple court affair in terms of an apparent illegal licence.

Note that according to a Talmudic quote (I will post it tomorrow) "Leper" is a messianic title just as Shiloh. So the irony would be that Jesus was anointed Messiah by a sinner woman in the house of the legitimate Messiah!

The Talmudic quote that talks about a messianic 'Leper' is the following:
and the teachers say that his name is the leper of the 'house' of Rabbi, as it is said: sure, they are the our illnesses that he brought, and the our sufferings that he received, and we have considered him as a leper, struck by God, humiliated.
