Jesus was replaced three times in Mark

Post by Giuseppe »

at least three times, someone takes the place of Jesus in doing something:

1) Barabbas comes soon in mind.

2) Simon the 'Leper', meaning Simon 'the Messiah' according to this source, in the house where Jesus is anointed ''Messiah'' by a woman

3) Simon of Cyrene.
