Καρποκράτης = 900

What are the odds of this? I've always thought that 'Karpocrates' is a strange heretic. It looks at first glance like someone misspelled 'Harpocrates.' But why and how? From what I remember from a magician I used to know who was into Aleister Crowley occultists always misspell words in order to get their 'number count' up or down. What are the odds that Karpocrates = 900 and 900 is the number beyond the last letter of the Greek alphabet - https://books.google.com/books?id=N-aJA ... hDoAQhNMAg

I think there might be a misunderstood reference to sampi in Irenaeus's account of the Marcosians.
