Father Theophanus Kerameus, (12th century) in his Homily (XLIV) asserts the numerical equivalence between Theos (“God”), Hagios (“holy”) and Agathos
(“good”) as follows:
0EOX ATIOX
9 5 70 200 1 3 10 70 200
“god”
284
»
“holy”
284
ATA0OX
1 3 1 9 70 200
“goo d"
284
Fig. 20 . 32 .
He likewise saw in the name Rebecca (wife of Isaac and mother of the
twins Jacob and Esau) a figure of the Universal Church. According to him,
the number (153) of great fish caught in the “miraculous draught of fishes”
is the same as the numerical value of the name Rebecca in Greek ( Homily
XXXVI; John XXI). https://archive.org/stream/TheUniversal ... s_djvu.txt

Marcion differentiated the just (dikaios) Demiurge of the Old Testament from the truly Good (agathos) who was the Father proclaimed by Jesus. https://books.google.com/books?id=jvfFE ... os&f=false

In a strictly mathematical sense then the Marcionites were right. The only god (= 284) is the Good (= 284) .

Curious also that the Marcosians - the kabbalists in Christian antiquity - take an interest in Mark 10:18
And to the person who said to Him, "Good Master,"(2) He confessed that God who is truly good, saying, "Why callest thou Me good: there is One who is good, the Father in the heavens;"(3) and they assert that in this passage the AEons receive the name of heavens.
Heaven oddly enough has a numerical value of 841. A circle with a circumference of 891 units will have, by calculation, a diameter of 284 units.

Another curiosity. The Marcosians not only took an interest in the 'Good' but also the 'good soil' =
If good = 284 and earth (γῆν = 61) 284 + 61 = 345 the most sacred number in Israelite history (= Moses, haShem, Shilo etc). Of course how you get to 345 is problematic. The phrase in Luke is γῆν τὴν ἀγαθήν. Origen references ἀγαθήν γῆν in his Commentary on Matthew and γῆν ἀγαθήν in other Commentaries.When this has been done, he himself produces another cup of much larger size than that which the deluded woman has consecrated,) and pouting from the smaller one consecrated by the woman into that which has been brought forward by himself, he at the same time pronounces these words: "May that Charis who is before all things, and who transcends all knowledge and speech, fill thine inner man, and multiply in thee her own knowledge, by sowing the grain of mustard seed in thee as in good soil." Repeating certain other like words, and thus goading on the wretched woman [to madness], he then appears a worker of wonders when the large cup is seen to have been filled out of the small one, so as even to overflow by what has been obtained from it.

And you can already see that if gematria defined the Ultimate God as being 'agathos' then it would be impossible for someone who used gematria to accept that this god could be 'just' or whatever else. gematria as a bulwark against monarchianism. math is math.

God = Saint = Good = 284.
Θεός = άγιος = αγαθός = 284.
Θ(9)+Ε(5)+Ο(70)+Σ(200) = 284
Α(1)+Γ(3)+Ι(10)+Ο(70)+Σ(200) = 284
Α(1)+Γ(3)+Α(1)+Θ(9)+Ο(70)+Σ(200) = 284
