Pauline authorship studies using N-Grams

Post by DCHindley »

I know that there has been a lot of chatter about N-Grams as an authorship identification tool, and a big symposium was held in Copenhagen in 2014. They were all predicting this would be the next big step in Pauline authorship stylometric analysis, yet I do not think that anyone has actually published such a study since then.

Who is trying to conduct such a study? Planning these out, training staff, tokenizing data, etc., is very time consuming, so a lag time of several years is not out of the question.

If any are in progress, what is going on? Are there unforeseen hurdles to jump, or dashed assumptions to work around?

I just Googled the subject, and there is nothing of substance since 2014.
