Golgotha, Gabbatha and "Mosaic Tile"

This may force a modification of the Story I see since it now appears that there WAS "Mosaic Tile" (Roman Tile Construction) in Jerusalem. There is a lot of "Tesselated Tile" in Caesarea and the NT Story trades on this fact.

3. John 19: 12 18 (Moffatt):

[12] This made Pilate anxious to release him, but the Jews yelled, " If you release him, you are no friend of Caesar's ! Anyone who makes himself a king is against Caesar ! "
[13] On hearing this Pilate brought Jesus out and seated him on the tribunal at a spot called the ' mosaic pavement '
[14] — the Hebrew name is Gabbatha (it was the day of Preparation for the passover, about noon). " There is your king ! " he said to the
[15] Jews. Then they yelled, " Off with him ! Off with him ! Crucify him!" "Crucify your king?" said Pilate. The high priests retorted, " We have no king but Caesar ! "
[16] Then Pilate handed him over to them to be crucified.
[17] So they took Jesus, and he went away, carrying the cross by him- self, to the spot called the ' place of the skull ' — the Hebrew name is Golgotha ;
[18] there they crucified him, along with two others, one on each side and Jesus in the middle.

4. This is a continuation of a Train of Thought that has become more important to me lately - that John is "Correcting" Mark. There may have been antagonism between the 2 Schools but the Forms they end with promote the idea that John is letting us in on the "Real" Story, with a very real dose of Irony in that statement.

Verse 12 appears to be from the Second Passover Story. The first was in 4 BCE and marked the Coup Attempt from Immer. This part, 12 years later, finds "The Jews" screeching that if "Pilate" releases "Jesus" not only is "Jesus" against Caesar but so Pilate can be no friend of Caesar. " We have no king but Caesar ! " This is not from 4 BCE.

"Mosaic Pavement": The telescoping of the 2 Stories makes this a little murky:

Josephus, Ant..., 18, 2, 2:

"As Coponius, who we told you was sent along with Cyrenius, was exercising his office of procurator, and governing Judea, the following accidents happened. As the Jews were celebrating the feast of unleavened bread, which we call the Passover, it was customary for the priests to open the temple-gates just after midnight. When, therefore, those gates were first opened, some of the Samaritans came privately into Jerusalem, and threw about dead men's bodies, in the cloisters; on which account the Jews afterward excluded them out of the temple, which they had not used to do at such festivals; and on other accounts also they watched the temple more carefully than they had formerly done. A little after which accident Coponius returned to Rome, and Marcus Ambivius came to be his successor in that government..."

This is from 9 CE and marks the end of the Priestly Coup Story. The action occurs in Jerusalem but it follows the actions of Samaritans who threw dead bodied in the cloisters. Yikes!

5. "Gabbatha" occurs quite close to "Golgotha" and it marks the only appearance of "Gabbatha". "Golgotha" and "Gabbatha" are identified as "Hebrew words". Further, we have this Blockbuster going off in front of us just after "Gabbatha":

"...it was the day of Preparation for the passover, about noon..."

Oh, for a double order of antacids for Apologetix.

If there was one and only one Story of a crucifixion here, all of the "Oral Traditions" material (and etc...) has to be carted in or there is an explicit contradiction. This is why I identify 2 Stories here. Mark's Story tells of the Coup attempt at the Passover of 4 BCE and the attempt is to seamlessly tell one and only one Story. Bilgah is on Duty for the Passover of 4 BCE and "...three days and three nights..." later, Immer rededicates the Temple and the Herodians and Romans are sent packing.

John "Corrects" with details from the 2nd visit, recorded as given to the Priest by "Jairus" in Mark. No Contradictions here!

Mark 5: 22 - 23, 42 (RSV):

[22] Then came one of the rulers of the synagogue, Ja'irus by name; and seeing him, he fell at his feet,
[23] and besought him, saying, "My little daughter is at the point of death. Come and lay your hands on her, so that she may be made well, and live."
...
[42] And immediately the girl got up and walked (she was twelve years of age), and they were immediately overcome with amazement.

6. What then of the curious appearance of 2 odd "Hebrew words" so close to each other in John where only one word, "Golgotha", is needed in Mark?

"Gabbatha" =>"Golgotha" => "Galba-Otho".

This is a play on words, a pointer from the early Authors of John that something is strange in Mark and he is not telling the entire story. (This leaves "Vitellius", who was never recognized by the Flavians. This character, this "Simon Magus" is a magician in the same manner as Nero. Vitellius will be dealt with later.).

There was "Mosaic Tile" in Jerusalem. There was a lot of it in Caesarea. The interaction between these 2 "Seats of Power" require investigation.

The odd title given too Jesus, Pantocrator the suffix is κρατήρ (Krater) "mixing vessel"and the root is κρατός (Kratos) "God of War"

Pantocrator corrupts into Grano sagrado "Holy Grail" , for a Grail Skull (Kranium) used as a mixing bowl
for drugs and wine.

So there is a connection between Jesus and Kratos in the New-New Testament
of the God of War.



Kratos is Spartan, whom Jews have kinship with.

1 Maccabees 12:21
It has been found in writing concerning the Spartans and the Jews that they are brethren and are of the family of Abraham

So this mean that Kratos was a real person who died and his skull was buried in Jerusalem
that became Temple of Venus, wife of the God of War, called Mars, who manifested
as Mark and wrote a Gospel.

The root word is κράς "Head" which is Ράς in Hebrew, fairly common for that language to omit K
and Ράς 'head of the body' or figuratively the 'head' of something e.g. Headmaster.

Deuteronomy 1:13 - I will make them heads (Ράς) over you.
