An interesting discovery. I always like how articles like this jump to conclusions, like that the find proves that gJohn is historically accurate. They have a good case that they found a Christian pilgrimage site that had been in use for centuries, if that article is correct. That's about as far as the "proof" aspect goes. It's as if they tried to disprove a potential claim that the stories of the NT don't exist.
