But the only way a phantom can "delude" is only if it is the fruit of the own imagination. So that is what is implying Chrysostom.

Nonsense. :facepalm: A phantom can delude you into thinking it is really a human.

At any case, my point is that the marcionites believed that:

If he had truly become man, he would have ceased to be god.
And this belief puts a doubt about the real existence of an entity that could be seen only in a highly visionary status (as only a phantom can be seen).
