Josephus of Arimathea

It is not only the coincidence of "Joseph bar Mattathia".
It is not only the presence of a similar episode of three crucifixions in Josephus.
But the best explanation is the silence of Josephus about a historical Jesus. "Mark" thought that that silence was deliberate. So he allegorized that deliberate desire of eclipsing Jesus in the his books by inventing a Joseph of Arimathea eclipsing deliberately Jesus in the his tomb.

Add to this the fact that the rapid burial served to prevent the "scandal for the Jews" : the show of a crucified corpse during the night. A cursed corpse of Jesus served to do the pauline point of the cursing of the Law. So the Joseph's embarrassment for a crucified corpse is the embarrassment of the Judeo-Christian enemies of Paul for the his connection "cursed corpse/cursed Law". The resurrection of Jesus overcomes that embarrassment.

So "Mark" explained the silence about the his invented "historical" creature not only by the fear of the women in the last verse of the his gospel, but also by the deliberate silence of the historian Josephus from Arimathea, so eager to eclipse Jesus in the his tomb.

Now I can conclude with a good certainty that Josephus/Joseph was Joseph of Arimathea, and not only for what the reader knows already about the 3 - 1 crucified story.
Joseph was used to eclipse the father of Jesus just as Jesus was used to eclipse John the Baptist.
Joseph father of Jesus served to eclipse Judas father of John. Judas is the
original father of 7 thunders.
The name of Joseph(-us) was too much known as the anti-Zealot icon par excellence.
What better name to eclipse the Zealot name par excellence (=Judas)???

Your scenario is dense of atwillism and so the risk is that you do the game of the Christian apologists, talking about Vespasian etc.
Note that Judas the Galiean is an invented person in Josephus, working as only a label for the Zealots.

Hence the my point is that, by mere antithesis, the name of Joseph(-us) works as the anti-Judas hence as anti-Zealot icon par excellence.
