I've started reading it and I recommend it to anyone who is interested in tracing where a lot of the concepts found in the Bible originally come from. It's not written by a scholar but he provides scholarly/academic sources that aren't outdated and support the information presented. It's probably the best book I've come across on this subject. The author's research supports a lot of the conclusions I've come to regarding parallels between Christian, Egyptian, and Greco-Roman religion. It's a long book but it's pretty easy to read and understand.
