Prophetic Eclogues 15
Andrew CriddleThe Saviour showed to the believing apostles prayer to be stronger than faith in the case of a demoniac, whom they could not cleanse, when He said, Such things are accomplished by prayer. He who has believed has obtained forgiveness of sins from the Lord; but he who has attained knowledge, inasmuch as he no longer sins, obtains from himself the forgiveness of the rest.

you believe that you are making a direct reference or an allusion? to this paragraph, and 27 and 28 have excluded from the critical apparatus the quotatioandrewcriddle wrote: ↑Sat Apr 06, 2019 12:27 am Prophetic Eclogues 15Andrew CriddleThe Saviour showed to the believing apostles prayer to be stronger than faith in the case of a demoniac, whom they could not cleanse, when He said, Such things are accomplished by prayer. It is clearly an allusion not a direct reference see Text of Gospels in Clement 1Rafael silva wrote: ↑Sat Apr 06, 2019 1:56 amyou believe that you are making a direct reference or an allusion? to this paragraph, and 27 and 28 have excluded from the critical apparatus the quotatioandrewcriddle wrote: ↑Sat Apr 06, 2019 12:27 am Prophetic Eclogues 15Andrew CriddleThe Saviour showed to the believing apostles prayer to be stronger than faith in the case of a demoniac, whom they could not cleanse, when He said, Such things are accomplished by prayer. Clement is almost certainly referring to Mark. The only real parallel Matthew 17:21 appears to be a later addition (from Mark) to the text of Matthew and was probably not in Clement's copy of Matthew.Rafael silva wrote: ↑Sat Apr 06, 2019 2:02 am s Clement referring to Mark? From what I was reading the text you send me it seems that it has nothing to do with mark 9:29andrewcriddle wrote: ↑Sat Apr 06, 2019 2:23 amIt is clearly an allusion not a direct reference see Text of Gospels in Clement 1Rafael silva wrote: ↑Sat Apr 06, 2019 1:56 amyou believe that you are making a direct reference or an allusion? to this paragraph, and 27 and 28 have excluded from the critical apparatus the quotatioandrewcriddle wrote: ↑Sat Apr 06, 2019 12:27 am Prophetic Eclogues 15Andrew CriddleThe Saviour showed to the believing apostles prayer to be stronger than faith in the case of a demoniac, whom they could not cleanse, when He said, Such things are accomplished by prayer. In the critical apparatus of Nestle Aland / UBS they exclude Clement's testimony against the expression '' Fasting ''andrewcriddle wrote: ↑Sat Apr 06, 2019 2:39 amClement is almost certainly referring to Mark.
