We all know the story about the Lord's Prayer.

Instead of saying “lead us not into temptation”, it will say “do not let us fall into temptation”

https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.thegua ... rds-prayer

The embarrassment would be provoked by the view of god (=the creator) as tempter. But Satan plays precisely the role of tempter in the wilderness, by imitating just the creator (quoting of his own scriptures, etc). "Mark" was aware of this. He did it deliberately.

But the original Prayer was addressed to the alien Father (the father of "Barabbas").

It was judaized by inserting, among the others, the verse:

“lead us not into temptation”

So remembering implicitly that the creator was the JUST tempter. The Catholic editor concedes the point to his marcionite enemies.

If the pope was coherent, then he should edit and correct a lot of other NT passages where the creator seems to be really the killer of Jesus.

Why would he when Catholics freely admit that Jesus was acting in accordance to God's plan?
