9 He was assigned a grave with the wicked,
But with the rich at His death,
though he had done no violence,
nor was any deceit in his mouth.
10 Yet it was the Lord’s will to crush him and cause him to suffer,
and though the Lord makes his life an offering for sin,
he will see his offspring and prolong his days,
and the will of the Lord will prosper in his hand.
11 After he has suffered,
he will see the light of life and be satisfied
by his knowledge my righteous servant will justify many,
and he will bear their iniquities.
12 Therefore I will give him a portion among the great,
and he will divide the spoils with the strong,
because he poured out his life unto death,
and was numbered with the transgressors.
But with the rich at His death,
though he had done no violence,
nor was any deceit in his mouth.
10 Yet it was the Lord’s will to crush him and cause him to suffer,
and though the Lord makes his life an offering for sin,

"but" is not "and", but:
The Septuagint has for the verse 9:
καὶ δώσω τοὺς πονηροὺς ἀντὶ τῆς ταφῆς αὐτοῦ καὶ τοὺς πλουσίους ἀντὶ τοῦ θανάτου αὐτοῦ ὅτι ἀνομίαν οὐκ ἐποίησεν οὐδὲ εὑρέθη δόλος ἐν τῷ στόματι αὐτοῦ
The sense would be that, insofar the guards were placed at the tomb, Jesus was "assigned a grave with the wicked",...
...while, insofar the tomb was property of Joseph of Arimathea, Jesus fulfilled the second part of the verse (concerning "the rich").
Hence I wonder if the presence of the guards at the tomb was more primitive than the presence of Joseph of Arimathea, in the story, i.e. we should imagine as older a story where only the guards were placed at the tomb. Joseph was absent.
This explains why Pilate needs the confirmation of the centurion, before he gave the corpse to Joseph: the centurion was originally at the tomb.
