Examples the Church Fathers Would Have Used for the Plausibility of the Virgin Birth

SA, this is OT but it reminded me of something and i apologise for not better researching this...
you must have read the infancy gospels which mention Mary
there was one in particular that's been dated early, before 150AD. (was it the inf. gospel of James?)
I think it parallels the beginning of Luke and one is excerpting from the other
My question is could Luke's beginning have used this infancy gospel as a source?
Especially since we know Marcion's Luke began like Mark and John without a nativity
What i'd like to see is what the parallels are between Luke's nativity and these other early sources
