'The Oldest Gospel and the Formation of the Canonical Gospels', Klinghardt
Klinghardt's 2015 book in German, Das älteste Evangelium und die Entstehung der kanonischen Evangelien, Francke A. Verlag, is (it seems / I presume) now in English under the title above (published by Peeters) $$$
Re: 'The Oldest Gospel and the Formation of the Canonical Gospels', Klinghardt
I haven't read the book, but I've read his 2017 article: Marcion’s Gospel and the New Testament: Catalyst or Consequence
He has a lot of valid points of course, but I disagree with his ultimate conclusion that Marcion's Gospel was the first and everything descends from that. His model for the development of the Gospels has problems and glosses over some things.
Still, he's generally on the right track. I'm citing him in my new book. If you aren't aware, in Deciphering the Gospels I proposed that Matthew and Luke are both dependent on a longer version of the Gospel of Mark in which the Q material was introduced. The point being that the Q teachings were developed around Mark's Gospel. I got some grief for not following Goodacre instead of proposing a "lost Gospel", and started doubting the proposal myself after hearing from so many people that Goodacer's was the solution.
However, I think Klinghardt's basic proposal fits much better and that Marcion's Gospel is the "lost Gospel" I presumed must have existed. But while I agree that both Matthew and Luke are derived from Marcion's Gospel, its not in the way that Klinghardt claims. His model is overly simplistic.
But I'm not going to get into too much detail because I'm still working everything out and finalizing it in my book.

Does anyone know why I cannot add two images to a post as attachments??
This has been a persistent problem: a message appears saying the image (of two attempted) which is added is no longer available ...

to rgprice,
How do you reconcile the above quote with the one below? It seems to me if one is right, the other has to be wrong.Matthew and Luke are both dependent on a longer version of the Gospel of Mark in which the Q material was introduced.
Cordially, BernardI agree that both Matthew and Luke are derived from Marcion's Gospel

No idea, but it has been like that since a forum update a couple of years ago.
You just have to upload them one at a time, with a separate post for each image. Kind of a pain, but it is what it is.This has been a persistent problem: a message appears saying the image (of two attempted) which is added is no longer available ...
