Could you tell us who is king Gesar?
It's a legendary king in Tibet whose story could be the result of a diegetic transposition of Julius Caesar's story, because the names are similar and because there's a song about him with a line similar to "our father who art in heaven". The story could have been transmitted via the Silk Road. So this could be Julius Caesar in Tibet.beowulf wrote:Could you tell us who is king Gesar?
Sorry: I should have said "in the name of the father" ("in nomine patris") instead. It says here:gesar wrote:So where does it say "our father who art in heaven"? I've never seen that.
‘The god of Victory in the body of man,
King Cesar,
looked at the warriors,
with the eyes of the rulers and the merciful
and he gave them the initiation
of the ninefold vajra,
and the transformation of the soul.
Finally the great King Cesar
raised his devine voice
ans sang the song
of the conquest of the twelve salt lakes
of the capture of Yulha
and the subjugation of Jang
OM MANI PADME HUM.’
