Paper drafts by Eibert Tigchelaar and Kipp Davis (separately) and comments (though they aren't showing at the moment) on academia.com give some reasons to question authenticity (ancientness) of some of the newly-sold fragments.

James Davila at paleojudaica blog Oct. 27 linked to a newspaper report on an upcoming auction of four "Dead Sea Scroll" fragments. These are said to come from a similar source (supposedly originally Kando-related but passed through other not very specific hands) as some others sold since 2002, some of which may be fake (that is, the inking, not the writing surface).

The article does not provide photos nor descriptions of the texts, which will be on exhibit in November in London.
Perhaps some one will eventually find photos or descriptions?

The hamhigh report (or advertisement?) above says 4 fragments. The mirror says 5 fragments. The last link has photos of fragments (unpromising and on first impression overpriced), "unstudied and unmarketed until 2016." "3 fragments and 2 fragment sets, totaling 15 fragments...likely Greek or Hebrew."
