Harvard is selling the 13 volume set for 26$ per volume:
http://www.hup.harvard.edu/results-list ... mit=Search

That is $104 for the four missing Books, 14 to 20.
That would be $26 US for brand spanking new volumes. I think used you can find them individually for about $12 apiece. In a set perhaps a bit more (mine averaged out to about $18/per volume). There may be sets of the 10 volume edition around, maybe even the 13 volume edition. Some of those may also have been scanned. Hell, if you know someone who has a complete set (9, 10, 13 volume editions), you perhaps could camp out over their hospital bed and get them for a steal from his/her grieving but cash strapped spouse.

Than again, there is always the library (any university library will have them, and maybe even some larger public library systems, and don't forget Inter-library loans) and a copy machine. Nowadays, everybody can get an "all-in-one" printer/copier/scanner for less than $100. Of course, you would have to mortgage your child or something to pay for ink.

They put the rest of Loeb's edition of Josephus online:

Volume 9 of Loeb's is Books XVIII-XIX of the Antiquities:

Volume 10 of Loeb's is Book XX of the Antiquities:

Does anybody know where books 15-17 from the Loeb series might be online? Or is that volume still digitally unavailable?

I think that those two volumes cited by Rakovsky are #9 & #10 of the 10 volume edition.

Volume 8 (of both the 9 & 10 volume has the range of books from the Antiquities that you asked about. Chances are this is out there somewhere. It was not edited by Thackeray, but jointly by Ralph Marcus & Allen Wikgren.

In any event, the US ISBN number of vol 8/9 (or 8/10) is 0-674-99451-5. It is Loeb volume #410, which is #8 of both the 9 and the 10 volume editions. In the 13 volume edition, which tried to make the individual volumes less bulky, Ant. books 15-17 would start at the end of volume 10 (#489, 0-674-99538-4) & continue through volume 11 (#410, 0-674-99578-3). Unfortunately, knowing the Loeb volume # isn't helpful to search on unless you know which edition it was from.

In Sept 2017 I was under the impression that both had passed away, so the volume they produced should be available online. That was what I meant by "2 years." However, I could have actually been thinking of Feldman. Loeb does not make their volumes public domain until after the death of the editor(s).

Here the whole confused state of things is presented:

Yes, that is the one I am looking for, and have been unable to find as yet.

There may also have been other editions, as I am finding volume VIII (8) answers to several ranges of dates not even in that table I compiled. Maybe differences between UK and US editions? Also there is no US ISBN for volume 9 of 9, so maybe the 10 volume edition superseded it before they published vol 9 of 9 in the US. If so, then the 10 volume edition came out between 1965 (when vol 9/9 was published in UK, and 1987 (my initial guess as to the date of the 10 volume edition).

I think we will have to look for volumes 10 & 11 of the most recent 13 volume edition.
vol 10/13 Ant XIV-XV (US ISBN 0-674-99538-4)
vol 11/13 Ant XVI-XVII (US ISBN 0-674-99578-3)

Very confused. I think Loeb was "churning" things to require libraries to purchase complete new editions when they loose one or two individual volumes, rather than let them order a replacement volume individually.

That's it all right!

I was looking everywhere for Ralph Marcus or Allen Wikgren as translator(s), but this archive.org book seems to be indexed as if translated by H. St John Thackeray, who translated Jos.'s Life, Against Apion, all books of Jewish Wars, and Antiquities of the Jews through Bk 8.

Seems that all these volumes get utterly confused by everybody who touches them!
