I think it's cheaper to build vanity projects in the developing world.

I was thinking that too. $300 million isn't much money if you have a billion, and if I had that much I'd think of building one for that price. Plus think of the money you'd save by eliminating or downsizing the parking lot.

But then why not just build a nice house for a lot less.
