The connection of PLT (in "Pilate") with 40 years of exile in the wilderness

Post by Giuseppe »

My comment about what is the Best Vridarite Article in my view:

God had condemned the wilderness generation to wander in the desert for forty years. Now, if Barabbas is the evil scapegoat released in the wilderness, then “Pilate” (having in his name the meaning of “Releaser”: PLT) is even more so the best candidate for the divine agent who connects the fate of the rival Jesus (and implicitly, of his supporters: the “Jews”) with the wilderness generation wandered in the desert for forty years.

Everything fits.

Having read that article, Bart Errorman and any fan of a Jesus "apocalyptic prophet failed" receive a literal coup de grâce.
