Zeus is the Jewish God.
Re: Zeus is the Jewish God.
Now the Semitic languages.
Some of the older and more conservative Semitic languages have a noun-case system: nominative -u, accusative -a, genitive -i, though that has been lost is most others, like Hebrew.
But in many Semitic languages, and also many other Afro-Asiatic languages, there is something called the Construct state - Wikipedia. Semitic languages have word order possessed-possessor, and the possessed one's word goes into that special "construct state". This is different from the possessor going into some genitive construction.
I'll illustrate with "Queen of Sheba" (1 Kings 10, 1 Chronicles 9), where the land of Sheba "owns" its queen and thus its name has a genitive syntactical role.
In the original Hebrew:
queen: malka
Queen of Sheba: Malkat Sheba
Notice malka getting a -t and sheba staying unchanged. That's the construct state.
Let's see what it looks like in English:
Queen of Sheba
Sheba's Queen
Latin:
Regina Sabae (though the Vulgate makes Saba indeclinable)
Greek:
Basilissa Sabas (though the Septuagint makes Saba indeclinable)
Russian:
Tsaritsa Shevy
All using genitive constructions for "Sheba", and not modifying "Queen".

Re: Zeus is the Jewish God.
The word APRION (אפריון ) is unique to Songs 3:9 and matches with the
Septuagint word Phoreion "Chariot, Sedan, Litter or Palanquin".
The usual Hebrew word for a Chariot, is RKB (רכב) and the cognate
is τρόχου ( Trochou ) "Wheeled" > Ρόχοβ > Ρχβ (רכב) but also written MRKB (םרכב)
ם > π so MRK- > PRS or πορίζω/πορίσω "Carry/bring" .
πορεῖον ( Poreion) "Carriage"
φορεῖον (Phoreion) " Litter, Sedan-Chair
פרשים ( Parashim) "Charioteers" (Gen 50:9)
πορίζων ( Porizon) "Carry, Bring"
πόρος ( Poros) "Ferry"

Re: Zeus is the Jewish God.
To summarize my previous post, Indo-European languages generally use a genitive construction for dependence relationships:
Queen of-Sheba
While Semitic languages often use a construct state:
Queen-of Sheba
As to where French "la" came from, it came from Latin illa, feminine of ille, a Latin demonstrative pronoun. Most other Romance languages also got their definite articles from there. "That" > "the" is a common route to a definite article.
Ethan, you show a remarkable ignorance of historical linguistics. Latin to Romance is a classic example in it, because it has a lot of documentation to work from. Not only of the initial and final states, but also some in between. Like Appendix Probi - Wikipedia ("Probus's Appendix"), with corrections of what the author considered bad Latin. But that bad Latin is what became the Romance languages, and one can see foreshadowings of some of their features in it.

Re: Zeus is the Jewish God.
I already gave two examples of Articles .
1 Kings 10:13
L MLKT SBA (ל מלכת שבא)
Te Basilisse Saba (τῇ βασιλίσσῃ Σαβα)
La Reine Saba ( French)
2 Kings 18:19
E MLK E GDUL (ה מלך ה גדול )
O Basilius O Megas ( ὁ βασιλεὺς ὁ μέγας)
You gave raw-examples 'Malkat Sheba' without the preceding articles and ignore important rules.
A. A God's name in prose (and comic verse) will be preceded by an Article
B. The name of a Man or Woman takes the article only when it recurs.
The article makes the person as already known to the listener or reader, because of a previous mention if
the person is human, whereas a God is already known whenever he is mentioned.

Why does Spanish resemble Hebrew grammar?
